Merry Christmas and a Happy Range Night to All

Cedarville Marksmanship Club would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas as we celebrate the best gift ever, the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ! I trust you will all enjoy a day off from work and hopefully spend it with family and/or friends.

The day after Christmas, Thursday Dec. 26th, is our normal bi-monthly range night at the Miami Valley Shooting Grounds in Springfield.  As a club, we are focusing on the NRA Marksmanship Program.  If you have already started this program this will be a great opportunity to continue your progress toward being an expert marksman. If you haven’t started this program, why not take the opportunity to get started?  We usually begin with pistol certifications but if you would like, we can work with you on rim-fire (.22 cal) rifle certifications first.

As always, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and there is never any pressure. If you would rather just shoot for enjoyment… that’s OK as well. Please make every effort to join us for this great time of fellowship and shooting practice.

Hope to see you there.
Merry Christmas.

Introductory Pistol Class

This Saturday December 14, 2013 there will be an introductory pistol class from 8:00 am till noon in Cedarville. Be sure to tell anyone that you may know who is new to the shooting sports. According to recent reports, there are a lot of first time handgun owners out there. If you know someone who fits that description, please encourage them to get some training in the safe and proper handling of their new firearm.

This class is an excellent way for someone to get started in the sport of shooting. The fee for this 4 hour class is only $25 and this month we’re waiving the late registration fee. For more information on registration and location, please contact The Cedarville Marksmanship Club via email or by calling 937-708-9549.

Do you know someone who is interested in getting involved in rifles more than handguns? Our next introductory rifle class is coming up on the following Saturday December 21st. More about that later.

Upcoming Brown Bag Seminar

On December 10th from 10 am – 2 pm The Cedarville Marksmanship Club will host a brown bag event in room 211 of the HSC building. This brown bag will be somewhat different than usual in that it will not be a lecture type seminar, but rather a display of concealed carry gear. Tara Engel from Old English Outfitters will have on hand some examples of the latest concealed carry accessories, just in time for last minute Christmas shopping ideas.

If you need gift ideas for your carrying spouse or friends, this will be a perfect opportunity to see and experience the products first hand. Tara will be available to assist you and answer any questions you may have. The event is informal so feel free to come and go as you please, but… please do come!
