Black Friday Range Time

Don’t forget that our normal Thursday range night, which falls on Thanksgiving this year, has been moved to Black Friday. If you dislike those crowded malls as much as I do, clear your calendar this Friday between 3:00 – 5:00 pm and join us at the Miami Valley Shooting Grounds in Springfield.

We’re calling this our “Black Friday Turkey Shoot”, but don’t be fooled by the name. Although you won’t be putting dinner on the table as a result of the days event, you will most likely have a fun afternoon of range time and just hanging out. Speaking of hanging out, please invite your relatives and friends that may be in town for the Holiday to join us. I cannot think of a better way to relax, whether you’re avoiding the shopping or recovering from it.  See you there!

Black Friday

Which would you enjoy more?

           OR

If you are tired of the same old “Black Friday” tradition of fighting the crowds to get that “Super Deal” on the latest “Must Have” item that six months from now will be “Obsolete”, may we suggest a refreshing new tradition.

The Cedarville Marksmanship club would like to invite you, our members, to our first annual “Black Friday Turkey Shoot” to be held this coming Friday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Miami Valley Shooting Range in Springfield. This all came about because our normal range night falls on Thanksgiving this year. Since we did not want to cancel yet another range night, as we had to do so many times this summer, we made special arrangements to move it to Black Friday.

The intent of this day is to invite family and friends to enjoy a fun afternoon of shooting and fellowship in a relaxing and friendly environment. There may even be a friendly competition offered for those whom would like to participate and test their shooting skills.

Please try your best to join us for what we hope will become a new tradition on “Black Friday”. For more information or directions to the range, please contact The Cedarville Marksmanship Club via email or by calling 937-708-9549.

Come Rain or Shine!

As most of you who regularly attend range nights know, several of our Thursday evenings got canceled this fall due to rain. Well, those day are over for the next several months as we move range nights back indoors at the Miami Valley Shooting Grounds in Springfield. While we can’t be guaranteed that there won’t be some cancelations due to other inclement weather, (read snow and ice), we can be pretty sure that we won’t get rained out.

Sign in and shooting begins at 5:15 pm this Thursday, November 14th. So come on out and join us for an enjoyable night of target practice and fellowship in what’s certain to be a warm and dry environment. In addition to providing a warm and dry setting, the lounge at the range is a great place to get to know or just visit with other club members between shooting sessions.

Hope to see you there, rain or shine!
