Ohio Concealed Carry Course

Class Instruction

The Cedarville Marksmanship Club announces its next Concealed Handgun License class on Saturday, April 13.  NRA and OPOTA certified instructor Lon Etchison, will be conducting the 12 hour class that is required in order to apply for the Ohio concealed handgun license.  This class has openings for 5 more students. The cost is $120 per person and includes lunch.  ($110 per person if you bring your own lunch).

The class is scheduled for Saturday, April 13 on the campus of Cedarville University.  It will be held in the Tyler building, room 202, beginning at 8:00 am and running until 8:00 pm.

March Tactical Shoot

On Thursday evening 14 members and friends of The Cedarville Marksmanship Club strapped on their holsters and prepared to run through a maze of targets on a tactical shoot.  New comers Eric Bell and Wally Patterson had a great time and showed the regular members of The Cedarville Marksmanship Club that they could hold their own.  Chip Mackenzie of The Marksmanship Club posted the fastest time through the “gauntlet”, while several of the shooters tied with the best scores.

The Cedarville Marksmanship Club holds range nights twice a month on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.  We envite you to come out and join us.

Tactical Shoot

Thursday evening, March 28, The Cedarville Marksmanship Club, in association with the Miami Valley Shooting Grouds will host a tactical shoot.  This opportunity is open to members and friends of The Cedarville Marksmanship Club.

Hosted by the Miami Valley Shooting Grounds in Springfield, Joe Mills, an 18 year veteran of the Federal Marshall’s Service will be our facilitator for the event.

We encourage you to come out and join in the fun.  Regular lanes for target shooting will also be available.  We look forward to seeing you there!

March Brown-Bag Seminar

Monday, March 18, 2013; The Cedarville Marksmanship Club proudly hosts its Brown-Bag Seminar for March.  This month’s topic focuses on the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution.

Our speaker is 21 year military veteran Greg Rice.  Having served as a pilot as well as in law enforcement and a training officer, Greg brings a wealth of knowledge as well as a passion for making disciples for Christ.

The seminar is scheduled for 12:00 pm on Monday and will be held in the Stevens Student Center, room 246 on the campus of Cedarville University.  We look forward to seeing you there – bring your lunch and bring a friend!

Brown-bag Seminar: The 2nd Amendment

The Cedarville Marksmanship Club announces its March edition of the Brown-bag Seminar.  Scheduled for Monday, March 18 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm.  Greg Rice is a 21 year military veteran and a pilot with over 41 years of experience.  Greg has also served in law enforcement and as a trainer.  Greg is a member of The Cedarville Marksmanship Club and has a passion for making disciples for Christ as well as restoring the Constitution as the law of the land.

We encourage you to bring a lunch and bring a friend.  The seminar will be held on the campus of Cedarville University in the Stevens Student Center, room 246.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Tactical Shoot Experience

Does tactical shooting interest you?

The Cedarville Marksmanship Club will be hosting a Tactical Shooting Experience on Thursday, March 28, 2013.  This opportunity is open to all members and friends of The Cedarville Marksmanship Club.

It will be held on a regularly scheduled range night at the Springfield campus of The Miami Shooting Grounds.  Hosted by Joe Mills , an 18 year veteran Federal Marshall, it looks to be a great time.

Regular shooting lanes will be available for those who prefer to target shoot.  Don’t hesitate to come out and join us!

Winter Competitive Shoot

Six 4-member teams competed in The Cedarville Marksmanship’s Winter Match, pitting members of The Cedarville Marksmanship Club against members of Chi Sigma Mu, the student marksmanship organization.

We congratulate the BullsEye Bandits who took top honors with a team score of 749.

The “Shoot-EM-Up Team” scored 721 to finish second and placing third were “The Dramatics” with a score of 715.

Don Grigorenko of The BullsEye Bandits and Barry Johnson of Killkenny’s Raiders tied for top honors in individual score with a score of 221

Jim Phipps of “The Dramatics” was second with 209 and Mark Henry of the “Shoot-EM-Up Team” finished third with 207.
